Hi there guys, just got my first 4 stroke ( and my first Yamaha as well) was wondering if i could get some advice? what mod should i do first to get the most power gain for the buck? kind of on a budget here. What about modifing my stock air box? thanks

Ride it first. Get used to it as is. Then figure out what you don't like. Then, put your budget allowance on that. Otherwise, you can spend a tom of $s and possibly even make things worse than what you already have.

agreed....I wanted to get busy buying up all the mods different members had done before even riding the sled.....rode it 500 miles stock now and really love this RX....have now ordered an apex seat/ecp kit/2" riser/13mm sway/blue shorty windshield and possbly some clutch parts.....have also added Precision skis and adjusted the stock front end and rear end......thinking about swaping the front shocks and rear skid out with something better....I dont really like this rear skid....I seem to bottom it out alot too....

I have rode it some and love the sled so far. The "dirrerent power" took some getting use to. I got a buddy with the same sled with just about every mod i see on this sight done to his, its fast. i think i would like a little more power on the bottom end and a taller seat. I think the "tight budget thing" is goin to go away, this thing is too much fun. what about modifing my air box?

An Ulmer clutch kit will definitely help, especially if you're studded.
