New to the 4 stroke scene and very excited. Thanks to Viper Dave for letting me go on a day trip and ride his very well set up apex xtx. After that day I was sold. I bought this attak from a guy in my club. It's a two owner sled with 3800 miles.

Nice sled with low miles and great choice.
You should get lots of miles out of your new sled with plenty of smiles.
Just curious.........what was your previous sled?

Sounds vaguely familiar. Except at the time Dave had an Attack and I had a viper. Great sled enjoy it.
Great choice sled. Lots of info to get lots of trouble free miles on your sled.

Nice sled!
I too came from two stroke Yamahas to my Attak and I have been very happy with it. I am surprised Yamaha dropped the Attak name as it fits the sleds personality.
There are lots of improvements using Yamaha parts from the newer models to keep you in projects for your sled....most of them not needed but all make it a little more refined and even more reliable.

Welcome to the Attak club. Enjoy the sled as it is for the rest of this season. Figure out what you like and don't like about it.
There are many things one can do but all these things depend heavily on your personality on the sled.
Having said that the two things that I would check on before its too late would be if the W-arm has been replaced or reinforced and if the sled still has the stock titanium Y-pipes.
06 an 07 Apex/Attak were very bad for these two items. I have broken each one in half. And yes, even the W-arm.
Take some time in the 4 Stroke Sled Garage area. There are many Attak/LTX builds or upgrade threads that can give you some insight on how to tune your sled to you.
