Newbie to Yamaha and Looking Forward to Your Advice

Well... I jumped ship folks.

I have been a life long Doo owner / rider; and decided to snow-check a 09 XTX last year. Well, I got the call today and my sled will arrive in a few weeks.

I can't wait to get her to the garage to play around.

Looking forward to getting some tips and advice from you all.

Welcome to the family!!! I think that is going to be one heck of a fun sled. Do some reading on here and enjoy, a lot of good info on here. Don't be discouraged by some of the negative stuff, just like Doo and all the others there are some issues, mostly minor, but that's the great thing about this site, you'll usually have several people with solutions and or resources to help.

Also the mods will ask anyway, you'll need to fill out your location in your profile. It's required, plus it helps in answering any questions you may have. For instance, "where to get this or that?".

You will develop a nose for 2s smell long before you overtake them on the trail. Left doo 2s & bought Yam Attack & soon all my buds converted to Yam too. Welcome to the 4s world.

It hit me last season that I could smell two strokes long before I could see them on the trail. This made me chuckle heartily and push a little harder on the flipper.

We put the fun in dysfunctional here.

Yep... that would be her.

I decided to try a new BRAND when my 06 800X blew a crank shaft bearing 12 days after my 2 year warr was up. Scottydog dragged me to the nearest road.... not happy.

Dealer said they could not help... Doo told me to pound sand.

So I decided I'm going to pound the trails with my new Yamaha, and the FIVE year Warranty!
