Bigdog. It's not easy; ) thanks for the encouragement. I tore down the cases of two polaris edges last year an 800 and 700 liberty. That seems so easy to do than chasing down electrical issues. I better actually get a new battery but hell its reading 13.4 volts.

Hello check your plug under air box, has a 30amp fuse on each side of plug, wiggle it, sometimes makes no connection.
I had that problem one year. Plug was corroded. I had to take mine off
Like others have said, take the airbox off and go over every inch of wiring especially when you mention there's evidence of mice.
I recall reading about somebody having a similar problem and it turned out to be the connectors for the 30A starter fuse were totally corroded. Couldn't see it unless you got "right there" and looked.
Did you check the connections in the nose of the sled?
That was the problem with my sled a few years ago. Starter block was corroded. I took it all apart, cleaned and scraped off the corrosion, and applied dielectric grease upon reassembly. It hasn't happened since. Try giving Rock a call. He's great help with electrical problems. He mentioned to me at the time a couple of common places to look for problems in the harness.

That's my plan

You know what. When my block was corroded it actually blew a fuse in the small black fuse box attached to the upper frame, mag side I believe. Have you checked that?

The 30 amp main fuse in the starter relay gets power from the battery and feeds the 15 amp ignition fuse in the fuse box. From there power is fed to the key switch and when the key is in the "on" position power is sent to the load control relay (only powers lights after engine is running), all three coils and the shut off switch on the handle bars. When the shut off switch is in the closed position (UP) it provides power to the ECU and back to the key switch providing the power needed to energize the starter relay when key is in the "start position"

Okay i follow the pattern. I think it's in the starter block or ignition. I will quadruple check the starter block (probably 5-6time) I really don't think there was any corrosion on it but will brush and clean while there. Wish I had a key switch to check with. I did have the damn key in it all summer hate to think I screwed up the tumblers in it. BUT wish it was that simple it's just something I can't check.

Start with checking voltages at the starter relay to see what is missing from there you trace the wires back to switches. I've seen problems with oxidation in the connectors that's not apparent so cleaning the pins and applying anti corrosion grease is important (truck lite NYK-77 or Permatex dielectric).
You can use the multimeter at the key switch connector to check for continuity. Probe the switch end and check the "on" and "start positions". You could also use a jumper wire in the connector across the red/yellow and brown pins for the "on" then use another jumper across the red/white and brown white to simulate the start position.

Thinking about making a trip up to Old Forge myself. Maybe this weekend if conditions permit.

Cut the dang switch open. I am unsure it is the switch now. My new sled has the similar "nothing" when the kill switch it down so now I think it's the kill switch. Bummer. But have I new ignition on the way.
