I recently posted on how the ECP oiled my clutches. The post was heavily replied to. This weekend I installed the Lightning Products Breather Kit to avoid future problems with the breather from the ECP spraying oil on the clucth.

What i found while working on the sled was that the motor pushed the seal out on the clutch side. It was very difficult to tell especially if you havvent really taken notice of the gasket before. We were able to losen the valve cover and reseat the gasket with little effort.

I had left the stock plastic catch can in place when I installed the filter kit and had to remove it for the LP breather. When I removed it the catch can had water in it. I had not used the sled in two weeks so it was residule water that had collected and stayed there. I believe that thae breather froze during a -28F ride in canada and casued the blown seal. Since the factory catch can was in place i fail to see how the ECP kit had any effect in this. So the ECPS will staty on the sled and would recommend it to anyone with a RX.

Thankyou freddie and I am sorry for any grief.

Whatever...I am just glad that he stated what he found. Shows an honorable man in my book!

I just wanted to aknowledge that the my initial thought on where the oil came from was wrong and share what i found. On the side of the trail you would never notice the gasket.

Beside isnt sharing info waht this site is all about. :rocks:
