Nytro RTX Sno-Xer, where's the race program?

This is by far Yamahas greatest effort to cater to the ditch bangers, and Sno-X crowd, as we all know it is basically Yamahas Pro Oped Mod sled. But what I want to know from Yamaha is; is this it, just one Pro team pioliting your flagship sled? What about all of the sport and semi-pro class riders? They can't expect a start up rider to plop down 9k-11k on a consumer based sled and go out and basically destroy it Sno-X racing. They need a grass roots race program. They need to look at what Cat, Poo, and Doo have done and build a base, from the bottom up. Having Boss Racing is great as a factory team, but if the whole point is to race it and compete against 2-smokers, then people need to see it out on the track all day, not just in a couple of heats. Imagine if Chad Reed was the only one riding a Yamaha moto-x bike the last three years, I know the comparison is a little far streched, but the point is they need a race program, where racers, from beginner to expert can buy one to race.

Agreed.... they need a stock snocross sled....
i believe that wpsa is changing stock to 600 class not 440, so the nytro would fit, but how about a set up snocrosser, stripped of the extras, full of the snocross features right from the factory, doo, poo, and cat do it.... dont know the cost, but i know they arent cheap....

I do not think the FX Nitro production version is would take the punishment of snocross. But if they were to build race sleds I am sure that class would be very popular. 4strokes are the future of snocross everyone one will see this within the next 4-5 seasons.

Next years Stock class snocross sleds have to be a production model 600cc sled. I'm sure Yamaha will have a race program of some type come this fall.

In the current SNO-X magazine, (with Robbie on the cover ) they have an article interviewing people involved with the factory snocross effort. It said Yamaha would accept proposals from other teams for next year - so maybe they will have support teams in addition to the factory team.
I don't think they would say this if they only planned on racing the open class exclusively. A stock class racer for next year is a good possibility.
