One piece aluminum oil tank

This really isn't a " Cat" problem. All auto manufactures have been doing away with gaskets in the engines for the past ten years or so. Head gaskets, intake, exhaust gaskets are still of some material but all other parts of the engine are being sealed with FPIG (form in place gasket), or RTV to us common folk. As a result, new car engines have their own set of new leaks. Go stick your head under a higher mileage BMW, Audi or Benz. They oil undercoat themselves. Toyota has front cover seal issues as do others. Not saying this is right but not abnormal. It has become the standard in the industry.

Must be a lot cheaper to slather #*$&@ caulk on there VS. making a gasket.

Why not run a Hypersports reservoir like Promod and Outlaws?
Get rid of the rollover valve and the tank you guys complain like old women about??
Guys who have done belt drive conversions do just this.
Hahahaha

My E63 better not leak oil.........I will trade it for a Hyundai

All the European cars we get at our dealership with anything approaching 100k leak like a sieve.

What?

I just changed oil on my 2011 Audi A8 yesterday with 130,000 miles on the clock and its as clean as a whistle. Wife's 2012 Audi A6 is also dry like the day it came off the showroom floor with nearly 90,000 miles. The 2005 A6 with 4.2 she totaled had 200,000 on it and only leak it ever had was at 135,000 miles and that was just valve cover gaskets, changed the gaskets and was dry all the way to 200K when a deer ran out in front of her.

No leaks on my German vehicles!
