ouch!

I notice you have rail extensions, but that the tunnel has not been lengthened. What length track were you running (doesn't look like a Freeride)? If longer than a 121, could it be that your rear axle took the hit without ever touching the rear bumper? It might explain why the bumper and tunnel held up when the rails failed. Handle bars look bent pretty bad on the brake side ... guessing the sled didn't come down right on top of the steering post, but on left side of the bars.

Glad to hear you're okay ... I'll bet you're feeling it a little bit though. Can't imagine anyone could just walk away from that without some soreness.

See some nice add-ons on that sled. You gonna part it out or put it back together?

That's it, here come the vultures... ;):D

Should've looked closer at your signature IR ... all your specs are listed there. Also should've read the other posts in this thread before asking questions, as I see now that you've already drawn the same conclusions.

Sorry if I came across as a "vulture" ... I have 2010 RTX also, so was just curious as to whether you thought the sled was worth saving. I noticed after I posted that you are thinking about a Viper. Gonna gain some speed and handling there, but coming from someone who has ridden the Viper I can tell you it's not the same rider forward sled that the Phazer is, FWIW.

No worries on the vulture aspect. My buddy porkchop was after my shocks minutes after it happened. Repair shop said over 4k in parts and 1k in labor to repair. Insurance will probably total it out. I have 3k in accessory coverage so should make out ok on my aftermarket stuff.

I didn't mean that "you" were a vulture OVR4D. I saw what you meant but the question was going to bring out the vultures.

I find it sad anytime I see a good sled get wrecked like that but happy when all's well. Me and my sons are rebuilding a dead and neglected FX, so I guess I'm a vulture in waiting but I hope you fix it if it's feasible ;)!

Wow! I dont know why but I have bent 3 upper a-arms and never a spindle. It is just a matter of time I am thinking.Glad your okay!

They say you can insure anything for a price ... in hindsight, buying coverage for your aftermarket equipment was probably the best money spent on your sled. That is something I've never considered before.

Glad to hear you'll make out okay on this ... as you said, it could have been much worse.

I'd see how much the buy back is on it, you might be able to get it back pretty cheap and part it out to make some extra coin.
