- 2016 SRViper M-TX 162
I have a 2016 SR Viper MTX 162 2.6", stock gearing and clutching at low elevation, currently just over 1000 miles (1850km) on it. I have noticed hitting the rev limiter at WOT since new. Tach bounces around a bit, but gets up to 9200rpm or so. It seems to have gotten worse as the engine broke in. I would like to set it up properly.
Are the MTXs clutched for high elevation from factory? Is there an OEM low elevation kit I haven't found yet?
My limited clutching knowledge says add weight, but I've been searching around and haven't found the answer just yet. Is adding weight the best solution, and how much to add?
