girlfriends sled overheats all the time. how do you bleed the coolant. and one thing i noticed was a big chunk of snow in front of heat exchanger does this happen alot?

They way i did it was take a clear tube (one like fish tank air hoses) and put it on the bleed valve. i put the other end in the coolant tank and started the sled. once the coolant started pumping through it would come out the hose and i could see the bubbles if there where any come through the hose.
The bleed valve is a black cap that you should be able to see close to the coolant tank.
Make sure the tank do not empty out or air might be getting sucked into the system.
If you don't have a fan i would get done, makes a big difference.
