Paging Ms. La Niña, Ms. La Niña pickup line 998....

Nice dump of 8-12" depending where you are at around the Twin Cities last night and this morning. Better act fast, it will be gone soon.

Got out yesterday as we got 12.5" wet heavy stuff here. Too bad it couldn't have come in Dec. put 50 miles on, too many trees down along with water and mud holes as nothing was frozen form the 60 Degree weather the week before. I blew an old 8JP belt because I didn't have a Ultimax XS belt broken in to use, and I wanted to "feel the power", seems every time I get in the deep snow I can't refrain from using the loud flipper. I had to keep wiping the heavy snow away from the intake vents. Not exactly sure why the belt blew, but I feel like it got wet, I started rolling into it coming out of the woods onto a nice field and the old 8JP grenades. Probably should have picked a fresher belt. Anyway, it was good to get out again and get some data on the new sled with the tunes loaded. It's going to be a rocket! Defiantly pulls more RPM using less boost than the old 17 LE along with riding better and steering far easier. Cant wait till next season, hopefully we get a good one next year. We're sure due for one.

We had some warm weather here for a day or two with some rain, but still lots of snow. It's a snow storm here today.
Trails are to re-open this weekend I'm told.

Hah! Glad you got some seat time Mike! I got the feeling you thought you might not ever get a chance to get back on the 23'. Looks like you're lugging about a hundred extra lb's of snow there! Haha
Sure is nice to get back on them and hit the throttle after waiting so long. Puts that smile on and makes all the sweat worth it. Sure it costs bunch of dough, but life's short and moments like that are hard to put a price tag on. Hope you get some more miles on her and looking forward to see how she's logging!

Today and yesterday was my last ride on the trails here. They're still open down to where I live, but looking at the forecast Southern Ontario trails will be closing this week.
It's been a heck of a winter. I think the best since the late seventies or early eighties.
A few weeks ago we rode to Port Stanley which is on the North shore of Lake Erie.
I burned through almost three tanks of diesel in my JD tractor moving snow.
I sincerely hope all the areas that didn't get much snow this year will have a winter like Ontario did next year because all snowmobilers are awesome and deserve it.

It has also been a good winter in Northern Lower Michigan and the trails were groomed better than average. Saturday and Sunday were tough days to ride from weekend traffic but all in all they did a excellent job grooming.. My hat off to all the volunteers and a big shout out.. Hope next year is more of same…
