Why use those when there are lighter and better Stud-Boy Pro-Lites out there? The plastic IMO is better with not holding the ice like regular backers and provide a paddle effect as well in certain snow conditions.

Been using the two hole Pro-Lites for years and never a problem. Just tap them 3/4 of the way thru and you're golden. Two-hole plate also proved better traction and support as well. I prefer not to use singles but I know to get the lines a guys needs to. Hers my track I just put on my sled. Had a single tear out on the outside band last year at 6200 miles so need to replace the track. Replaced it with the same setup but no quite lugs and fully clipped, which is awesome.

But you can't see them when they are just a big lump of ice.
Myself, I prefer to not attract attention to my studs and track...... Hence the black backers.

Both new riots have these. Seems cheapest place to get them is directly from them. Install is ridiculously quick, just keep a spray bottle of soapy water with you to spray the track before you tighten them down.

Sounds good.

Thoughts on them? Working out on the riots?

So far so good. They have a big surface area and alot of stud support. I think they will be very durable. Everything looks mint but only about 750miles on my sled and 500 on the wifes. As of right now I definitely would buy again.

Thanks.. I was hoping someone tried them on here..

I have a bunch or the pro-lites if you interested

I will re-weigh them but I tried a prolite double with 2 studs vs 2 studstars and 2 studs and there is only a few grams difference. Theres 453 grams in a pound so really no measurable difference at the end of the day but Ill double check the weights to make sure.

I'd really like to see these in action as far as durability goes. Similar backer. Nut & backer $10.ea does not include stud.

2 studboy studs with prolite doublebacker weighs 73.3 grams and 2 studboy studs with 2 studstars weighs 73.5grams……..so very light setup
