Anybody do a crazy engine transplant into a phazer? For some reason I see a lot of chassis around with no engine and got thinking about a different engine in the light chassis. Maybe a older 2 stroke? 3 cyl 4 stroke? Not sure what would fit. Thanks!

Thats a good point there is zero room for the pipe.

Seems like hobbiest all over buy the sled for the engine. Just got to thinking about a older polaris 2 stroke, or doo 2s troke just for a fun project on the cheap <$2000 total.

The Genesis 80 is a sweet engine but you cant find them cheap enough to dump into a bare chassis your better off buying a used one already running.

I figured some shop was going to try and stuff a older high HP engine in there at some point.

why hide the pipes just run them out side it would look sick like horns. i think the hard part would be the fact that the chain case is part of the frame.

I wonder if you could reverse the cylinders and run the exhaust straight back with pipes under seat?I am sure they wouldnt be ideal for power but 80hp isnt hard to beat and older 2strokes didnt even have a expansion chamber.Would for sure be a Mad Max machine ;)!

I thought about that too. At 122kg it would be portly for a snowmobile, but a 1.3l with 255hp is not bad!

The reason you see sooo many missing the motors is due to the fact that many college engineering departments have the ORV buggy and F1 cart challenges.

My Alma Mater is actually in the process of building a buggy around a Genesis 80 FI motor that they found somewhere.....

I cant wait to get that far in to school. I am not going to be one of them guys that suggest we need electric power.

I see them on craigslist fairly often, usually a fair price. I've been waiting on an RTX chassis to steal the front suspension from. The one strange one is a Yamaha dealer that has 3 NEW chassis for sale with no motors in them.

There was an 08 by me with no motor for 1500.00I was also wondering about a 3 cyl 120 hp in there out of a rage or something. That would be cool. Not sure if it would fit or not. Someone need to try this.

:4STroke: i got a 07 with a blown motor in it. got a 151 on it and heavy springs in the back and other stuff i will let it go for 1800. and the plastic is all painted black looks bad #*$&@
