Phazer Fills your boots with Water, need bilge pump

it would be much easier to make your own. i unfortuanately bought the factory crappers for $139.00. and i wanted to close off the vents, then after i installed them, i wish i would of.Yes, i get wet feet and NO it's not sweat!Just get diamond plate and take it to a hvac contractor and get it bent.just make a cardboard template.it's not hard, just a little bit of time.then it will look better and work better.go to a farm supply and buy a diamond plate fender for a trailer.dual axle is better. more material, cheaper than you buy it any where else, cut your pieces out of it make sure you have enough.rivet it on.much better then factory!other than that the sled's a blast! :o|

This ones home made.Works great.Silicone at bottom also.Have noticed though that when crossing water or bad slush feet get wet.Found if I put my feet on top of toeholds they dont get wet.Water sprays off backs of skis. Also believe that is snow you see stuck to back of running boards. Is alot of ice under tunnel.Dont know who came up with block offs but thanks.Great idea.

Pat M,

I used one tube of clear silicone, but I dont have any pictures, between that and closing off the rear tunnell opening it has eliminated 90% of the water problem, Just turned 1100 miles last weekend and no problems. But this weekend I am going to put saddle bags on the sled, I'm afraid the seat will get to hot because air wont be able to come from the sides. I just purchased on ebay a set of "side skirt snow guard" from "Barely Legal Accessories". These are about the same price as the yamas and got them in three days. Look very good. I am going to remove the rear aluminum plate and install these panells. I will update in 10 days as to how they work. Just got a digital camera last week and will try to get pictures. Anything but wet feet!!!!!

Thanks Phazerwill. I am going to try and play with some aluminum to make tunnel protectors. If I can also find some heat tape then I will put some on the back side of the plastics and maybe figure out something else to help protect the plastics from melting. This wet feet and frozen tunnel has to come to an end. Just not acceptable for a manufacturer that has been in the sled manufacturing business for so long and has had many Snowmobile of the Year awards.

Wow revision from last post I made.Last night rode about 200mi in temps right around zero and about a 4in powder on top of a hard base.I had some major ice both in tunnel and running boards especially right under my feet.I believe due to colder weather the water from melted snow from front hole was freezing before it could run off tunnel.Broke my exhaust at head so time to try blocking off front hole also.It is possible that the Ice itself may have broken the exhaust. Was a Huge chunk wedged in front on top. This stuff was pure ice not kind you can just poke a stick at to break apart. Both sides had a strip of ice also about 4"X6" and full length of tunnel. Those came out in one piece after kicking the tunnel.Once all cleaned out suspension also felt better. This is first really cold weather I rode in.Still had a blast but more work needed.
