Is some room.Not much though.Would depend on cam lift also since they are very close to each other when open.

geeez..80HP from a 500 cc 4/ is pretty friggin good. What would be lost if you tried to up it?
I think thre YZF 250 is only about 37HP???? The 450 about 40 or so...
I don't think I would want to guess and mess up the engine..have fun..better than watchin TV....

It is really good stock hp.Probably way up there in HP/cc scale.Would be interesting to compare it to some so called high hp motors like Ducati and Ferrari.Is almost always a tradeoff when getting more hp also.
Phazer=80hp .16/cc
Ducati 1098s= 160 hp .14/cc
FerrariEnzo=650hp .10/cc
09 Hyabusa=197hp .15/cc
oops!

I will mention that I know an automotive engineer that specializes in cylinder induction. He design's cam's for high performance auto and marine use. I will contact him in reference to the Phazer cam. He is well known in the High Performance and Racing Offshore industry. He designed the cam for my offshore BBC motors. Billet core and 7/4 - 3/2 cylinder swap. Very nice stuff.

So we do real well when compared to 2cylinder motors but not so well compared to four or eight.
Not sure..but I think the last 2 are turbo powered? So not apples to apples..

I don't think the enzo is turbocharged but the F50 was. The busa never was turbocharged from the factory

RIGIDONE said:I have also been looking into this, I have been talking with a guy named Tim Zarnstorff of Z Force racing about a Serdi vavle job and a port and polish.. From what I understand he does alot of work on AMA motorcross bikes and Jetskis, and from what I have read he is a great guy to deal with and does top notch work.. He says I could expect to see around a 7hp gain, the work was going cost around $600.. Im still on the fence about it, dont really know what im going to do. I have is email address if anyone of you guys want to hook up with him.. I believe he lives in the Northern Illionis area.
Please send me his email address. I would like to talk to him about this project. Thanks.

Enzo is also naturally aspirated but it does have 12cylinders and variable valve timing.I did the math wrong its actually much less.Sorry!
Hyabusa=197hp .15/cc
Ferrari Enzo=650hp .10/cc
10 R1=138hp .14/cc
I cant find anything with more hp/cc but some of these are at rear wheel like Hyabusa.We only have 40 or so hp at track.So it doesnt take much to figure out where most gains can be had.
Phazer/track40hp=.08/cc
Hyabusa=197hp .15/cc
Ferrari Enzo=650hp .10/cc
