I just took a look on their website. New exhaust bolts on to original muffler. Right from their website: After many Hours of testing and Dyno Runs we are not claiming any Extra HP because there isn't any to be had with a Header for Yamaha Phazer Model.
Too bad they don't offer their can anymore to complement the new pipe.
I just wonder if that means we shouldn't expect much from either Hindle or Hurricanes offerings?

From Excell Motorsports Website!!
New for the 2014 Season! The Yamaha Phazer 2007-2015 Replacement Header $399.95. You can now replace just the Header without buying the OEM Yamaha $1100.00 complete one piece Exhaust. Easy installation Instructions. We feel the main cause of Premature OEM Flex coupler Brakeage is the Header Sub Frame mount is not located correctly, which in turn the Header Flex Coupler is not in a Neutral Position and not leaving enough room for Heat Expansion causing the Coupler to fatigue and crack. We have Moved the Bracket back 15.00 mm allowing Flex Couplers to be able to move freely back and forth under running Temperature changes. The Header is Manufactured out of 304 Stainless Steel and Tig welded. After many Hours of testing and Dyno Runs we are not claiming any Extra HP because there isn't any to be had with a Header for Yamaha Phazer Model. Available in October.

Still can't believe nobody has made true duals system. That is how you get more power from header.

With my new 2014 I'd have to cut. Yamaha must have fixed described issue as mine has NO joints in system at all. Solid one piece from front to rear leaving us guys with, having to modify stock, no choice but a full system apposed to a slip on. Which myself personally Im ok with. Just those dognuts in the front which the one I'm about to order has eliminated!!

All phazers are one piece. When you add a can you cut stock silencer off.

14 for sure yes, solid all the way. Ultra q I've looked into for my 07 was slip on at joint under seat. No header was available with q. 300 for 3hp, naaaaa. Joint was factory. My buddies 09 also has joint under seat for choice of a slip on.All phazers are one piece. When you add a can you cut stock silencer off.

It's really too bad Yamaha didn't make it two pieces because they are awkward to handle.

I went out today and looked at the 07. It's def had a coupler welded on with ubolt clamp. Somehow I was picturing something different. It's two brothers x race sled from back in the day so odds are pretty good it had something else on it. Cooper #10 was the name on the number plate when I got it with two bros decals all over it.No worries.
