Phazer Seat Brace Question???

I have an 08 RTX that I closed up the tunnel on. I am leaving the factory black plastic side covers off. The brace that mounts to the seat frame and sits on the tunnel really looks bad without the side covers. Most of the pics I see don't appear to have this brace. Are people removing them?

Please post a picture, I am under the impression that the 08 & 07 were the same other than the black plastic side panels.

I removed this brace and haven't had any problems so far.
No fat chicks allowed

Earlier models didnt have the brace.
