this all depends on what conditions you mostly ride. the pilots are not a good powder or loose snow ski. push real bad. but if your riding groomed trails they absolutely rail. i put on a set and could not be happier. night and day difference to the stock skis.

I ran pilots with the ski rubbers thats in the pic on my apex then my nytro. The skis are about wore out now. Gonna buy another set. As far as the pushing in corners go dump the ripjunk track and go with a 1". Pilots with a 1" track and 144 to 192 studs seems to be a really good match on the nytro. It will still push a little but it's predictable and the steering is way easier. Maybe shaper bars would help with pushing a little? Overall it's way more fun to ride.

Simmons or Precision skis all push like mad in soft snow. Hard conditions, they work great. I thought with the Pilot having a keel, they would be better.

Call Slydog if you need a set of rubbers for pilots. Thet are only $10 a set and fit perfectly on that ski.
