Pool noodle use for tunnel bags

Those with a tunnel bag may have noticed that the seat clip/bolt or thumb screw wear through the bag. So here is my answer and all it cost me was my buddies kids yelling at me.

Now slide it on.

If it lasts the season awesome no ripped tunnel bag

Where there is snow. I hope

That's brilliant. I rounded off the edges with a grinder and put some tape around it but will look to do something similar

Very nice, I ground mine down then deburred/radiused it with a Scotch-Brite disc but unfortunately I didn't do it until after I had a big hole worn in my bag from the sharp edges of the latch.

Anyone get a replacement bag due to this?

Cat one had the reinforce patch a year ago, same bag with different logos I assume, maybe you got old stock or something........still rubs through the patch though

I would be nice if there was a leather patch sewn in. I just ordered one!

Just seen this post, thought I would re post my other post here about the tunnel bag.

You guys that have installed the yamaha tunnel bags did you remove the little stock one? Has your tunnel bag marked up your powder coated tunnel at all?

I put the small one inside the big one, used the strap inside to hold it in place.The bag hasn't scuffed the tunnel up yet on either one of my Vipers yet.,

Same here with a chunk of door edge molding, but I haven't installed the bag yet.
