After replacing two cables for the RA adjuster, I tried a fix and will post an update when I log some miles. I installed the cable through a braided plumbing hose (12", find at any hardware store) and clamped both ends to the RA cable connectors with small clamps. Also left the rubber protector off as the steel braided hose in my opinion has to be stronger than the rubber protector. Will update when I get some miles in. I looks alot stronger and should take more abuse from any ice loading and buildup.

Any other fixes out there? The original design and the resulting failures is not working!

The only time I've had them break is when I would drop the suspension and forget to unhook it. I've go a brand new spare (still in the package) if anyone needs one.

I did something simular to try and get my cable to hold up. It didnt last any longer. I might not have routed it properly.
I see there is a new part # for them. Does anyone know if the boot is the same or just the cable has changed?

One problem you may have with a braided steel hose is the ice build up. I used to ride an Arctic Cat ZR 800 cross country with a remote adjust shock in the rear suspension. The remote adjuster had a braided line that ran from the handle bars down to the front shock in the rear suspension and if left exposed as a steel braided line it would build up ice and break off the fitting in the shock. I sliced a piece of rubber fuel line length ways and tie wrapped it around the braided line to help cut down on ice build up. You may want to have the steel braided line for strength and a similar rubber hose on the outside to help with the ice build up. Good luck
