Hey guys, just wondering how your Hauck clutches worked for you this winter. I was looking through old posts & saw the one where we discussed the clutch. Was just curious to see some real world results from people on this board.

As far as I know, it was RX warrior and myself that have the Hauck Clutch. I have 1700 miles with mine with absolutely no issues. The clutch is very easy to tune. You can remove the Spider and movable sheave with out pulling the clutch off the motor. This makes for easy weight changes. Engagement and belt clearance is adjusted by adding or removing shims to the clutch. Also easy to do with clutch still on motor. You can use all Yamaha weights and parts. This gives a wide range of tuning parts. Most weights are too light to use with a 3 poster. But with a four poster, you basically take the total weight and divide by 4 rather than 3. For example if you are running 220 grams, you need 4 55 gram weights. With a 3 poster you would need 3 73 gram weights. Only the stock weights can be laoded to this weight, if you use Yamaha weights. You can load 3 Heavy Hitters to over 70 grams if you use the tungsten washers.
I have no problem in recommending this clutch. The only downside is that it is expensive.

I used a Comet 4-pro for the last 2 seasons. I am very happy with the performance of this product.
Tuning parts are more plentiful, and much less expensive than Yamaha parts. Spring selection alone is amazing, you can use Comet, Cat, Polaris, EPI and a host of other aftermarket builders. :ORC

I was extremely pleased with the clutch and had absolutely no issues with it. The clutch is very easy to tune. It's a shame that my HC weights broke and put some pretty big nicks in it. That happen a week after a installed the clutch. I am going to send it back to Hauck to see what think but I did run it all season without a problem. I would highly recommend it.
