Was it all along the belley pan area? And when you get to the opening in pan for exhaust outlet, what does it do there? My sled is not here at home,so I cant just look. I will tell you if it is anywhere near the muffler,i will remove it. Thanks PeteIm sure it was there Beast...mines an 18, so unless the 17’s didn’t come with it? But I’m thinking they must have.

I put 5000 hard kms on my TD stock muffler Max Spool 16 tune last winter running the superspeedways of Northern Ontario, no concerns whatsoever. Just make sure you pull the foam out from under the muffler and before you shut the sled down after a hard run let it idle a bit to cool the turbo.

Mine had foam under the muffler that needed to be removed. It’s for sound deadening I believe from the factory.
Mine caught on fire STOCK!
It soaks up the oil from the oil drain if you mess up.
It's more of a sponge then insulation

For guys asking about foam. It's the black stuff stuck to the lower right belly pan. It can and will soak up oil if you are not careful when draining your oil and therefore can become fire hazard.
If removing, be very careful to assure there is plenty of REFLECTIVE FOIL TAPE below on pan, clean it good with alcohol so it sticks good. As seen below in pic, the bottom of muffler has ZERO heat shield so it will allow maximum heat to radiate downard from bottom of muffler.

I always have the cheap stuff from Depot(foil tape for insulation) around and use it liberally on many sleds in the past, it certainly does a great job to reflect heat. If I go with a SM tune next time round, Ill remove those foams around muffler, looks to be one up the side too. Just gotta be sure the guys realize raw plastic withOUT any heat tape wont last long..lol

Has anyone tried the PEFI multimap? I’m curious how the economy map works.
The economy map works well. Still a little more power than stock, but cruising down the trail really gets excellent mileage.
