So what are you thoughts on the martin race?? Will the imfamous 7 sec barrier be broken?? all i,ve heard is that its impossible, lets hear your votes again on this one!! Will the 170 mph barrier be broken?? i think i've heard of 160 something before, far stretch to go 170, but how cool would that be. Will the big nos sleds prevail??, they are the undisputed kings. Will the turbos be able to take one home for yamaha?? stranger things have happened. Who will be the new king?? my guess is as good as yours, anything can happen, nothing is for sure, there are world class teams that have gone to races and set world record times, only to have something screw them up in the final. Will it get rained out?? i hope not. all i hope for is to have alot of luck, and a safe day. jeff

IF ANYONE HAS A HELMET CAM WE COULD USE, PLEASE BRING IT TO MARTIN.

does anyone shoot video of the race as well?? i would like to get some good footage if possible. thanks jeff

If everyone is saying 7 secs is impossible how cool would it be to do it with a turbo 4-stroke  Nothing is impossible, 170mph though? Thats haulin arse. I'd love to see videos posted up of these races.

Good luck!!!! ;)! :flag:

hyper max, i guess i may have had some inside information, lol. when we left for mich we had already run low 8.o's at 175mph in 1/4 at union grove. jeff

Jeff, great job! The bar has certainly been raised, but hasn't anyone told you? You're cheating by using a 4-stroke with a turbo and nos against all those big 2-strokes, you should be ashamed. LOL!

srxspec, i am truely ashamed......that the nos bottle went dry, human error, that sucked.

just for your information on the nos...

the reason we ran out of it is because we only use 1/10 of a pound per run. it comes on for just acouple tenths of a second at the start to spool the turbo, then it turns off and its boost all the way down the track. we get around 25 runs out of a bottle so it hardly ever gets changed. unfortunately because of a human error, it ran dry prematurely, and we put OURSELFS on the trailer. when the clutch slammed in and the turbo wasn't spooled it pulled the engine down to its knees because it was clutched so agreessively, it bogged so badly that we lost 1/2 a second to the guy we were racing at the 60 ft time, he was so far out on us we thought we could never catch him, but once the revs came up, we actually out et'd him to the finish line, our sled was still quicker than his with the huge screw-up. ( his 8.9 to our 8.7) but reaction time gave him the win. it sucked to go out like that, but to tell you the truth, the race didn't mean anything to me, my goal all along was to run a 7 sec pass at 170 plus mph. and thats what we did..... at the first race this sled has ever gone to!! everytime we run it, we learn allittle more about what makes it come together, and believe it or not, it will run mid 7,s by the time we figure it out. we have been invited to run in the labor day show at union grove, the sled will be there for anyone who wants to see it run and check it out in person. many thanks to all my sponsors... simons cpr, proline, knapp attack, yamaha motor corp, millenium technology, wiseco, carrillo, msd ignition, boss seats, mountain performance, port washington yamaha, micro belmount, supreme tool, r-k tool, driver dan wade for having the balls to drive the frickin thing, our crew who helped make it all happen (dave day, and mike kreger... it couldn't have been done without all their hard work and devotion) and anyone else i may have forgot to mention. thanks for helping me make a piece of history!!!! jeff

Great job to Jeff, and the rest of the CPR team! Never a doubt! I am a little Jealous that I only ran 151 though! :D Bill

Hey Jeff,

Where did you get the head light stickers that you have on the windshield? I'd like to pick up a set like that.
