I'm working on tuning in the HH's on my RX-1, I'm getting close but I'm still trying different things. My HH's came with some blue loctite in the package, should I be using this on my tuning bolts and allens everytime I change setup or can I just tighten em up and run em until I get my setup down. I've been runnin for a few hundred miles without loctite, I just changed my setup again and I wondered if I was running the risk of loosing wieghts and screwin somethin up not usin the loctite?

A drop of blue loctite never hurts anything. I would recommend using it. You ever seen what happens when something comes flying out of your primary at 8000+ rpms? This is a picture of what the primary looked like after a heel clicker exploded 2 summers ago on the race track!

Allen, thanks for showing all of us what can happen. I have not used the loctite either. I just make sure the bolts are good and tight BUT using it sure makes a lot of sense.
Using the excuse that I change my setup all the time for different elevations only goes so far. If a bolt came out just once it would blow my excuse all to heck. Ok, I will try to remember to use it from now on :(

Frosty

Lets be honest though, most likely the thing exploded because of the weights, not because it did or didn't have loctite on them.....

Wolfie, pretty hard to tell what did or didn't blow up first when you're cleaning through a mess like that. Loctite is good insurance that nothing will come apart!

get your set up... then pull the arms back off and loctite it..... srx u are not the first person who has had heelclicker blow apart on them!!

Ouch, what a mess!!!!
