Questions about Temp Light

I run this style of hids and i think most require you to splice into the harness. i used piaa cross country hids with the ballasts built into the lens as one unit with two wires coming out of the unit which i spliced in. i run an mpi sc on the trail and was concerned about temps as well and taking out the stock light definately helps. according to my temp gauge, normal trail riding consistently puts me in the 170 to 180 range. i also run the new scratchers from yamaha that mount onto the sway bar.

nytrolovin, can you provide some pics of the installed lights? I'm curious as to how you mounted them and if they are adjustable or not.

Grimm; check out my post under 4 stroke sled garage under 'my nytro' there is a pretty good pic of the bracket i made for the lights. it is a simple aluminum bracket that fits in between the plasic light frame. the particular lights i used adjust up and down which is pretty typical. i spaced the mounting of the two lights as far apart as possible to get a wide view and then adjusted them as best i could.

i found a couple of better pics and as you can see i just made an aluminum plate that goes in between the plastic light frame. hope this helps ya
