Real Time Data - What mount for Iphone

On my Nytro and Sidewinder.

That's a real high priced mount but kinda cool.
So will the Viper mount work on the SideWinder I wonder?
Sure looks like it but never asked them. Was ogling the heated cordless charging system myself. I have a OSP bracket and any of those Ram mounts could easily be fitted to that also. I will see if that mount fits Winder.

What app do you use on the iPad?

I am using the Android version so I don't have an iPad.
My sled is stock so I don't use a real time app for the engine. I use rider X app for trail maps and GPS.

Might be a dumb question, as I have not even messed with mine yet.

Do we need to have DATA on whatever device we are using for Live data/flashing?

I realize we need the APP, but can one just get the APP on wifi, then all BT options work fine without any connection to internet?

I assume so.

Just gets me wondering about finding a cheap phone(maybe even android as Im an Apple person) without needed data/service and just slap it on the dash BELOW the riser, same as I did when I installed my cat digital boost gauge down near seat heater switch. I dont need it up high, just something where I can glance down once in awhile.

I want my phone right up above the stock dash so I can see it at speed with just a glance. I also want to be able to take it on and off easily and take it with me at every stop, then put it back up there upon startup and be ready to to in an instant.

At what temp does the iPhone shutdown if its just plugged in?
There are a ton of cheap mounts on amazon. Nothing heated however.

Not sure temp but all the wireless chargers create heat. Was looking at Walmart and they have the chargers anywhere from $20-$60 for charger and pad that goes on back of phone if Apple. Android doesn't need pad its built in most. Price varies with power of charger. Need more power to go through a thicker phone case.

On my tablet I changed the settings for the screen to stay on all the time and with it plugged into my power port charging it creates enough heat that it does not freeze up.
The larger screen and being inside of the OtterBox case works for me.

Which tablet are you using?

It's a cheap Verizon ellipsis 8 tablet. Does everything a phone does except phone calls. The tablet cost me $30 when I bought my last phone.

Agreed most Android devices will do at least if not more than Apple for much less dinero. If you put a "load" on the device it will heat itself while charging which would be fine for the lower end Android devices , but for the higher end Android we may need a heat pad to ensure it doesn't cool off too much and freeze. I have been searching for a silicone heat pad and i'm finding they have typically a much higher wattage for way more heat than we need for this use. Many of them heating to 450' degrees! I'm not trying to bake a chicken here just wanting something around 15 to 25 watts to heat the device to 150 degrees. Wondering if anybody has stumbled upon something that may work for us all?

I have this idea... take a basic mount like osp made for the viper... take my belt clip from my otter box defender for my S7... remove the belt clip and rivet on the edges to the basic mount... leaving the center of the back of the mount free.. where i will attach the heating element groom my ski doo heated riser bag...viola...a heated clip in mount!
