I've been running a led strip light on my helmet tapped into my heated shield for years now with lots of luck, and lots of folks asking where to buy them! I did this because my led taillight on my sled covers up and nobody likes to ride behind me . I also added a second taillight on the sled above the oem on the flat like trim just behind the rear storage flap (apex) with brake light function this keeps it up out of the snow dust and clean. I new this would be something that I should of marketed!
This is also a great safety feature when sitting trail-side at night if hooked into the sleds battery system, I just take my helmet off set it on my handle-bar pad and ya can see it even in the worst of conditions. Get lots of compliments.Hope this helps.
