Just an observation but figured I throw it out there for u guys, buddy and I have Apex GT's, bought them new couple years ago, both same miles(around 2000), garage stored, enclosed trailer etc, did a mid-season inspection and noticed the welds on the 06 arms are starting to rust bad, while the 07 still look perfect, I do the mainentance on both sleds and found it odd, maybe yamaha changed there paint or rust proofing after 06? Just FYI!

The 06 apex rtx I bought had a lot of rust on the welds when I purchased it. From what Ive been told and have seen... the harder you ride the more rust you will get at the welds and joints from minute flexing in the skid. I had my whole skid apart before I even rode it and repainted it. Sanded and welded reienforcments and cracks before painting. Did a rustoleum primer coat, metalic silver coat and clear coat and has held up really well so far after 1400 miles. $18 was a lot cheaper than a powder coat job.

We can fix that...

The newer arms use a slightly better liquid paint.. but not even close to the durability of powder coating..

We have powder coated over 75 mono skids...
