Guys I bought my sled second had 2 years ago with 236 kms on the clock.

First year I didn't worry about it, last year I carried my vin into a dealer, they said yes I needed the recall and said it would take about half a day. I didn't get back in there with the sled to get it done

This year we have a new shop open up closer to me, I just carried the vin up but the could not find the recall. The sled came up when they did a search but it says no recalls needed.

Is it still on the recall?
can anyone help?

I just put floats on and my ball joints are shot.

I would call yamaha an give them your ser# an see if some one put a claim in for the recall if no you need to get that done ASAP.

I agree with darv, take the time to talk to original shop you delt with and don't take any more time, that hotrod is five years old already. The previous owner really dropped the ball, that recall was out in the fall of 08' if I remember correctly.

Is this an an actual safety recall or just a Quality Assurance Update? There are no time limits for safety recalls. Only thing I found was tech bulletin S2008-007 for lower ball joints that prematurely wear out and how to replace them with a new version that supposedly lasts longer. It would have been free if the sled was still in-warranty.

I'd forget about the Yammy parts and just get the bronze ones from Sledtoyz. Much better.
