So, am I to understand that we should only use semi-aggressives on the new stryke/Cat ski?

What I know for certain is you don't ever want to shim the back of a Doo ski with a tracker on, been there done that. They won't be unstable, but they will steer hard and dart like a normal carbide as the corrector does not get a chance to touch the ground.
What I believe is happening with the Trackers on the Cat skis, is they sit too far forward and become unstable. When I ran that Cat with them on, I had a death grip on the bars to prevent the feel of getting the bars ripped from my hands. On my sled with the Doo Skis and trackers, I can ride it one handed, it will never try to rip the bars from your hands.
Some of you may be familiar with the fact you want at least 55% of the carbide behind the spindle center line to keep a snowmobile stable. If you were to put the carbide further forward on the ski is will try to self steer and get unstable on the sled. To me this is what Trackers feel like on the Cat skis, like the carbide is just too far forward.
Back in 2011 when Yamaha came with a new ski, the old carbides fit it but they sat forward by like 2omm or something, well guys put their old Trackers on that 2011 ski and crashed their sleds because they had the bars ripped out of their hands with the carbide sitting too far forward. They didn't know the new ski required a different carbide even though it had the old bolt holes and fit fine in that new ski. If you google SnowTrackers dangerous you may still see the comments on the post, but the reason is carbides that sit too far forward WILL be unstable. Myself, I hate SnowTrackers on Cat skis. Total opposite about how I feel about them on Doo skis. I love them on Doo skis or even the old Yamaha single keel skis. I've run trackers on everything, but won't run Cat skis with them on whatsoever. Too close to those guys that crashed their 2011 Apexs. I ran trackers on the 2011 Apex too, but I ran doo skis on that sled, not the 2011 Yamaha skis.
If the Strike is a Cat ski I'd think twice about running them unless they sit different on them than they do a cat ski. On the Cat ski I used the stock staggered factory dual carbides the sled came with.

Need a refresher here, what is the difference between aggressive and non-aggressive? The blade is deeper?

Wear of the offset carbide on a 21 Winder Stryke ski. Stock shim setup. Notice much more wear at rear. However, the rear hole is there, but is not used.
What Carbides did you go to? And did you notice any twitchy side to side steering on yours in the straights?

With that pic you posted it’s telling us the new ski is the same as the cat ski in terms of the angle, just like the cat ski I wouldn’t put snow trackers on them. Trackers need to sit level to the ground.Wear of the offset carbide on a 21 Winder Stryke ski. Stock shim setup. Notice much more wear at rear. However, the rear hole is there, but is not used.

Keep us informed if you gat those aggressive to lay flatter on those cat skis. Good luck. Safe trip !All this info answers why I have been chasing suspension setting with little affect LOL. I to was thinking of trimming the rubber in front of the spindle. I don’t find them horrible like this but there’s definitely a lot of room for improvement. I’m leaving Wednesday for northern Ontario if I got time b4 I leave I will take a look and see if trimming the rubber is possibly.

You know I was scratching my head on these aggressive with cat skis. I new something was off. As you raged about the aggressive and how great they are but way different on different brand skis for sure. And I thought about those posts on guys crashing. I also noticed exactly as you say about how much carbide is forward of ski spindle center. Huge factor. What I know for certain is you don't ever want to shim the back of a Doo ski with a tracker on, been there done that.
