Don't know where to post this, but since it is a photo section I will ask here. I just got a new computer with vista, and I am struggling to find an easy way to resize my pictures. When I had windows xp, I used the "make your pictures 1000% easier" thread above this one, and someone posted a link to a microsoft photo resizer, all I had to do is right click on the picture or pictures I wanted to resize and select resize picture, and then select the size I wanted. This worked beautifully. Anyway what are you guys doing to easily resize your pictures with Vista?

I'm no wiz but this is what I found...
Right click on your pic..go to "OPEN WITH" and scroll to "MICROSOFT OFFICE PICTURE MANAGER"
At the top of your screen you'll see "EDIT PICTURE" click on it.
Look at the right sidebar, at the very bottom click on "COMPRESS PICTURES" and voila! your good to GO!
this is for "VISTA" should work...

I have googled Windows Vista picture resizer and have downloaded a couple of free programs, and don't like any of them so far. I know of many ways to resize pictures, still am looking for a easy way so when I want to post pics on this site, I can resize 10 or so pictures and have them posted up in a matter of a couple of minutes.

Thanks, just tried it and it works real good. I have been using photbucket for a couple of years and have never realized they resize it automatically for you.

Also thought I would add, that if anybody is looking for a great picture editor, Google picasa. Google makes it and best of all it is free, just download right of the internet. I have been using it for a couple of years and still use like it better than any other photo editor I have tried. The "I'm feeling lucky" button (auto adjusts your picture) works great.

Here's an easy way to shrink pictures in Vista.
Also, for real photo editing I use Paint.NET which is basically a free version of Photoshop with some better tools.

You could use an image sharing website such as Photobucket. Upload your pics off your computer to this website and they give you options for different sizes. Large or medium is the size I usually use and works best in forums. Videos work well through this website also.
