Rev limiter

Does the sr viper have a rev limiter ? feels like it cuts out on full take off , rpm at 9000 rpm's.

Working with dealer now to come up with a solution. We think we might have it figured out but won't know for sure till mid next week.

Mine cuts out twice when you nail the throttle. Only when going from sitting still. I have seen my tach as high as 9100 but only after it has cut out so I know it was higher at cut out. Make sense? We are putting on a steeper helix and different spring from Hauck Performance which Hauck says will back the RPMs down to 8900 max and won't allow it to over rev. My dealer has been excellent and is working with me and Yamaha to find an acceptable solution. If it fixes it I will post part numbers so others can do the same if they like.

That's exactly what mine did yesterday thanks for the info will look for an update from you appreciate it, pulls like crazy but just when you take off it does that ,doesn't do it any other time. Funny thing is it never did that until I hit around 600 Kms.

My brother has the exact same viper as I do and he put on the ulmer clutch kit on and he has no rev limiter issues.
