RSI Bar and Riser

I have a 2009 xtx, I recently got RSI Flat bars, pivot adapter, grips, and pad for a birthday present. I am just wondering how high of a riser I can put on it with out changing the cables? I ride a lot of stand up and love the bumps, so I would like to go as high as I can go without all of the hassle of changing the throttle and brake lines.

Any one using RSI?

Thanks

I have the RSI flat carbon fiber bars with a adjustable riser and an OFT re-locater. The riser is set at 6" and the OFT piece supposedly raises it another 1 1/2", plus the flat bars. I think the brake line is a longer unit but the throttle cable and e-brake cable are stock. I had to re route them behind the bars once I put the OFT unit on though.

Nice you wouldn't happen to have pics would you? What brand/model adjustable riser do you have?

I think it a RSI riser too. Here is a picture, not sure if you can tell that good.

Thinking I might go with a 5" and I should be safe. I just don't want to have to go and replace all cables.

Thanks for input attakdog, sled looks killer

Anyone with other pics?

Thanks

I just installed all of the same parts this evening, I went with a 4" riser in part because I have a stock height seat and a grizztracks relocator and I didnt want to be too high for comfort and did not want to change cables. I hope its as comfortable as it looks.

I just installed a Power Madd Pivot Adapter and the Rox 6-8" adjustables to my 09 XTX. I am waiting on my OFT Relocator...should be here tomorrow. I bought the Yamaha Throttle Extension, but will be able to use stock E Brake and Brake Cable in this set up. I also bought the Steel Braided Brake line just in case, but will not need it now. I had to re route all cables to the front of the riser. I'll post up pics when I'm all done.

I run the Lake Effect 2.5 on stock riser with OFT Relocator. Rerouted my cables and tywrapped so no stress on the cables. This is maximum before you would have to extend the cables. Love it as I am 6'3" and no more stooping forward!!

Just a little info. If you go and buy an after market long throttle cable and brake hose you can find them realitivly cheap. I think I got a set for $60 2 years ago through richierich or richmotorsports whom is a site sponsor. Prices may have changed since then but swapping cables saved a lot of tors issues and were pretty easy to install on my old Apex.
