The big news from Cat on November 19th may well have been "something big" for Yamaha as well. While we are left to speculate as to exactly what Yamaha has under wraps, my guess is that Yamaha is going to have a piece of the new "mid-size" chassis that was unveiled by Cat yesterday. Hopefully it will be a new Yamaha lightweight 4-stroke engine well-suited for the chassis. If so, it will be big news, and good news for Yamaha.

It would be nice if they put the phaser engine in that chassis!

I bought a used 09 Phazer RTX for my older grandson, and then replaced it with a 2015 Phazer XTX after a couple of years, and I had quite a bit of seat time on those Phazers before we both upgraded to Vipers. The Phazer chassis was ugly, outdated and uncomfortable, but I loved the Phazer engine! It was snappy with lots of torque, and it made the Phazer fun to ride despite all its other issues. If Yamaha puts that engine in the new Blast chassis, I will be buying one!
