Snowmobile Trail Update - January 6, 2011
Rusk County Snowmobile Trail Update: Effective immediately - Rusk County Snowmobile trails are once again open. Colder temps, additional snowfalls, and grooming have allowed the trails to reopen. The base was preserved with the trails' closing during last weeks warm temps, and sledders can expect to find the trails in rideable condition throughout the County. Fair to poor conditions can be found throughout the County, with better conditions in the northern parts of the area where more snowfall has been received. Caution should continue to be used, as soft spots may still exist, and no stream, swamp, lake, or river should ever be considered safe. Be aware of trail changes and reroutes, and please do stay on marked trails. As conditions change, check back for updates.

Trails are just ice here in Rusk County. Rode them today and 3 of the sleds had there slides melt and one over heating from lack of snow. I am ordering ice scrachers now.
