I have a friend of mine, who is talking to one of his friends, says he is machining an 18 tooth, I would like to see him do it. I am going to try 23/39. If you try 23/40, let me know what your rpm is at the end of the 1/4, or are you just changing for next winter? Either way let me know.

I ran 24/40 most of the winter. No speed loss experienced, quicker for sure. Never put it on the clock tho.
I am told the 18t. sprocket will break, as there is not enough material left in the gear.

I thought that 18 tooth would break also. Glad to see mnmsnowbeast getting good results. The winter here sucked big time too, trails were only open 1 week locally. I will run totally stock the first day out on the 1/4. Will change after. 8)

New clutching
I believe the weight will have a nore aggressive profile than that no profile weight that came stock. i aslo bet there will be a different secondary spring. With everybody that saw the 04's I'm surprised nobody has posted some facts on this.

Angleboy, I think I am going to try that gearing in 3 weeks. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yea more agressive cam arms, and a secondary spring that won't coilbind would be nice.

Black sticky stuff called tarmac, combine a turbo with that kind of traction lets see how many drivetrain parts we can break then. Sounds like fun to me. 8)

Angleboy, I'm running the RX1 on asphalt this year, 1/4 mile. I am starting out totally stock, and making improvements, and changes through the year. Some is for my own research and development, and some are for my sponsors. I will be trying to get this thing in the low 9's towards the end of the race season, and I will post these evaluations. Keep checking back, I might have some interesting info for everybody. I see the tech or mod forum is slow, so I might start the posts in 1 of those forums.

Angleboy, I have a pro street truck that I used to run in the 11's, got sick and tired of sitting in the staging lanes, and spending soo much on fuel. I raced a 4 wheeler with an Arctic Cat 700 twin on NOS. That got me a best of 10.86 at 124mph. If you can, send me a pic of your car. I'm a camaro nut, especially 67-69's.
