s1dw1nd3r1480's 2011 Nytro XTX Backcountry Build

Great write up on your Nytro! What HID kit did you get from DDM?

6000k H4 Hi/Lo kit. And thank you on the compliment. It was a lot of fun doing this write up and I plan to continue it including my cousins MTX in the thread. This offseason my brother bought the Nytro off me but we will still be updating with mods. I have shamefully jumped ship and purchased a 2015 Pro RMK 155. I wanted a better backcountry sled and just couldn't afford a turbo viper yet. I still bleed blue bit am excited to ride the new Pro. Can't wait for snow.

Hey one question and a clarification, the HID kit is not the "Motorcycle kit", its the basic H$ HI/LOW kit? and is that handle bar bag decent on stock bars, i'm looking to add a power outlet to my sled and want a bag to hold my phone.

Yes it is just the basic kit. Bought the same kit (x2) for my truck (lows and fogs) and for my brothers truck. Just different bulbs based on application. Would be putting a set in my Pro if I had e-start but I opted to take the 500 credit the dealer was giving me instead of free electric start from snow check promotion.

Sorry it took so long to respond as I have been spending more time on Snowest absorbing info on the Pro. I did remove the undertunnel on this Nytro and am selling it. Looking to go a different direction for the exhaust until we can turbo this sled. Plus I am looking into possibly converting it to a 153 or 162 skid and deep lug track next summer.

Looks nice, Where did you get the handlebar bag?

The handle bar bag came with the sled so I am not sure where it came from, I believe it is a Yamaha accessory item. Since switching to the pro taper bars I no longer use it on the sled. Not sure where I have it at the moment. Hopefully in a couple weeks I will have some time to sit down at the computer and add to this thread. My cousin's MTX shown earlier has gone under the knife this year and came out looking amazing. We were finally able to get some time and made some tube running boards for it and everything has turned out better than anticipated. I think you will all like how things turned out for it. Next summer the XTX will be under a similar knife to get boards as well as some bling (that is if things don't change between now and then and it ends up getting replaced by a Viper MTX). Time and money ran out this summer for the XTX as the new Pro has been getting the nod from the wallet. I will also post some pics of this sled to this build thread if it doesn't get too much flak from the site.

I'm looking to do a brake light similar to yours how did u wire it in to the harness

Just cut and spliced the three wires. I can't remember which one was which off the top of my head but it was pretty simple.

Did you ever have any clearance issues with your magnaflow muffler setup. Do you happen to know the case thickness?

What are the chances you remember where you got the led tail light?
