Anyone experience this fault/code ?

Never. Does the machine idle OK?

Clutchmaster has a fix if it idles erratically. The IAC motor can be replaced with a common part if its acting up. I bought the part last year for my 17, but a cleaning did the trick for a up and down idle so I never did change it out.

I thought it referred to the IAC as well but it idles fine and if u unplug the IAC u get a code 37.

Buddy called his dealer and they said it was the heated roll over valve . I disconnected lots of these and never got a code.

Im a bit puzzled but not the first time. Lol

Almost every machine that goes thru here I take off the ROV, disconnect the heating element and eliminate. Very odd and puzzling indeed.

I could be totally wrong with this but isn’t the air bypass solenoid connected to the bov at the nose of the sled. I remember watching the Yamaha video of the new 998 and it describes the air bypass solenoid as that.

Is that what they call it? Should be called a valve, but yes, now that you mention that, I think you're correct. I bet thats the one.

Your probably right

Yeah, just the naming convention of the fault code I think

Thanks
