The standard HPG shock is pretty soft, I would guess 1. Steve would be the guy to ask though. You don't have a QS3 center shock?Where does the standard center shock valving fall in as compaired to the qs3 center shock?
Is it closer to 1 2 or 3 position?

My sled came with the standard hpg center shock. I purchased a new qs3 center shock last spring to install with hygear dual rate springs on it.
Tim, how would you compare the two from your experience to answer the OP question?

Don't have any ride time on the center qs3 yet.Tim, how would you compare the two from your experience to answer the OP question?
Going to install it when I do my off season maintenance in the next couple of weeks.
The best ride I could get out of the standard hpg center shock was with the cat 160/260 spring on it.
