Season 2010/11 mileage - revster

Ride #11
January 15, 2011
Miles: 30
Mission Objective: Ride with Dauphin boys (failed)

Miles so far this season: 563

Up at the farm for the weekend. Went to meet up with a buddy for a ride but his doo 1200 custom sled he built was giving him the engine light and he could not find the problem.

So I hit the fields around the farm that were full of powder!! Camera wouldn't work, I thought it was from the cold but I had the battery in backwards. (I later discovered)

Went to ride with my brother-in-law on Sunday the 16th but the Attak would not start. So I loaded my sled up the head home.

Of note my right hand warmer has quit.

Ride #12
January 21, 2011
Miles: 57
Mission Objective: An afternoon rip

Miles so far this season: 620

Rode from home today. Trails were freshly groomed for about 10 km then it looked like the groomer turned around and the trails got pretty ruff. Not the fun ruff either.

We took the river home and it was wicked!

Some pics my buddy sent me. These are from the ride back on January 4th.

Ride #13
January 24th 2010
Miles: 213
Mission Objective: Put on some miles!

Miles so far this year: 833

Rather then trailer to my buddy's place we decided to ride adding 50 miles each way to the day. They were hard miles after a couple of wind storms this week, but once we made it into the bush we had a great ride.

The curse of ride #13 got me tho. In the flat light I was rippin' across the top of some drifts then I dropped back into the ditch and hit an approach that had become a wall of snow. You'll notice in the pics the bars bent forward but between the bar pad and the Tekvest I was not hurt at all.

Good Times!
;)!

Ride #15
Feb 5, 2011
Miles: 227
Mission Objective: Lee River Poker Derby

Miles so Far this season: 1113

Well I forgot the camera and missed out on a lot of great pics. I've never seen more sleds on the trails and at the shacks. Every time we got to gas stop is was like a mall parking lot full of sleds. I wouldn't want to ride like that all the time, but it was great seeing so many riders out together.

I think this was the trip that me and the Nytro really bonded.

Nice pic's looks like you guys had a blast.

How's the track holding up with those holes you drilled in it?

The holes were actually there when I got it. But the track is holding up very well. I know I have one damaged lug but other then that it is looking good!

Looks like that might be it for riding around home. I'm now prepping the sled to go to the mountains, leaving Mar 12!. Cooke City Montana is this years destination. It will be our 2nd time in Cooke.

After that we'll see how much snow is around when we get home.

Day 1 continued.....

We headed to Round Lake area and the snow was great. Not crazy powder but still deep enough to make us happy. We didn't get any sun light tho...

I was super impressed with the Nytro in the deep snow!!

First stuck of the trip goes to the only Mountain sled on the trip ;)!
