When I ride my Attak GT hard through the corners, the edges of the seat will pop out from under the tank cover, usually getting ripped in the process. I do allot of weight shifting and so far, it has been the left side of the seat cover. My seat is definitely allot looser in front too. Dealer suggested that the clips were worn out - WTF???

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm looking at taller/firmer seats like the '06 Nytro or RTX setup but don't want this problem to follow me. Do any of the aftermarket seats have this issue?

Do a search - there was lots of talk about tightening up your seat back in 2006.

had the same thing happen. the two nuts holding the tank down were missing the whole tank and seat were shifting back and forth. see if this helps

Brian, I put on an Excell Exhaust on my Apex and in the instructions it states, that you need to add two stripes of velcrow to the bottom of the seat, against the top of the tunnel and he states, that it helps secure the seat. He gave me two pieces with my exhaust. He said it should be done with a stock exhaust as well, since under certain circumstances, the seat can move around. Go to their site and under Apex, it shows the instuctions with pictures, it should show the velcrow on the seat. Later....

My seat after 7000 miles is worn through where it rubs in the top of the exhaust covers, and one spot on the side where it rubs the tunnel and makeing a few staples pull through.
