When installing the big venom kit i noticed that the secondary bolt looked like it was cross threaded. I removed the bolt again to check the threads which were ok...but i noticed that the bushing appeared to be bent. Now the bolt does not seem to fit flush. Not sure if I should run it like this or order a new bushing.

Have you had the secondary off before this? I've seen the float spacer washers not properly installed over the collar and when the bolt is tightened it puts unequal pressure on the collar which could bend it. You'll need a new collar for the clutch to work properly. The collar is only $3.

Has to be that. Must have fell in between spacer and bolt on one side like Griz said.

ok thanks guys...it feels like there is too much play in the bolt when tightening it for some reason, it looked like the washers were sitting properly but obviously something caused it to bend. Unfortunately it is a holiday tommorow so I won't be able to order the collar until Tuesday, and of course we are suppose to get a big snow storm tommorow. Would it cause any harm running it like that for a couple days ? First snow of the season, it will be very hard not to take it for a rip lol

I would look around its just a collar. Most are same in all Yamahas or find something that fits and cut it to length. Clutches are nothing to mess with if that bolt breaks and it decides to come off it could be very ugly.

I believe when I put different secondary on Phazer I found a spacer that worked at local hardware store.

Its 51.35mm long 24.5 dia and needs to fit bolt. Basicly a piece of pipe will do as long as its straight.
