Very nice!!! It's stuff like this that will keep me going until next winter, which seems like 100 years away right now

Did you get your sled back yet? I was talking to Pat and their was another sled in their with the same issue as yours, but the oil was burnt and yours he said had no oil. He showed me it, it looked bad. He also said all the parts were on back order. He said that is the second sled he had in on it and both were Attacks.ultimatewarrior said:Adrenaline rush just watching it. Can't wait for next year.

The interesting thing is both Chippewa Motors and I had checked the chain case oil level within 400 miles. It looked to me like the oil burnt up. There was little evidence of leaking. You are correct, there is another Attak in the shop with the same problem.
I called Yamaha Customer Service, and was given conflicting answers. One person said there is a problem with some of the chain case components and they are working on a fix. Another said they are aware of an issue and are monitoring it - what ever that means.
At any rate, I am glad that it happened on my last ride of the year rather than my first ride next year. I just hope that Yamaha does something about this.

atleast they are acknowledging there is a problem instead of denying or saying it's an owner problem....... Hopefully the 07' models will have some of these issue's fixed that have been haunting the 06' owners through out this season. Perhaps they should watch the way Doo and Poo take care of there loyal customers, from what i've read over the past 6 months yamaha is in last place when it comes to customer service....unless you have an exceptional dealer
