Sidewinder drivers, what would you do?

Have seen quite a few sleds with the drivers not centered, or even the entire skid not centered. Yes, the design allows it to move around but I'm guessing loose tolerances in skid mounting locations contribute. It does not give the impression of a quality product, but can't ague that besides the noises and vibrations it does work well, but personally I don't like all the vibrations and noises. I assume this all helps explain why track alignment is virtually impossible.
Its not impossible. It can be trying for sure . THE KEY IS to get it perfect(alignment) the first 300 miles and stay on it those first 300. And go off the inner wheels not the slides. Just because the slides are perfectly in the middle does not mean its not rubbing on one of the inner rear most wheels

Right and then think about what the track is doing when you are riding and turning and hitting berms or landing a bit crooked. If the knobs weren't on track it would be coming derailed real quick. I just set the adjusters perfectly even and go ride on this sled.

Well if you think the yamaha suspensions were awesome you did not put many miles on them. The Rx's would blow the w arms repeatedly and the mono skid had the same problem hyfax wear was terrible and those stupid plastic bushings needed to be replaced 2 times a season. 5000 Miles on the 14 on original hyfax 2zerts to grease and all wheels but the trip hub aee original

The floating back and forth makes good sense but shouldn't the drivers at least start in the middle of the Windows? That way there would be some room for movement each way. This looks like a spacing issue for the drivers. Yamaha must have some sort of spec as to exactly where the drivers are to be located on the drive shaft.
