Sidewinder driveshaft bearing

I am looking to address the spinning bearing problem on the driveshaft while greasing the bearing. What i'm reading here for the best fix is to tap the shaft and use set screws and bearing loctite to secure the bearing. I was curious if anyone has done this without removing the skid. I was thinking of supporting my track while on the stand to take the tension off of the driveshaft. Any thoughts would be appreciated. mike

Best to remove skid and track and take drive axel out.

And while your at it put the RR front arm shaft and front shock suspension shaft in it. No sense going just half way.

I made one out of steel for the front arm. So make one for the lower shaft for middle shock also does the aluminium one bend or break?

Yes, I did mine without taking skid out. I simply made a support that went between the front axle shaft and the front cross shaft to keep the track shaft in line and supported while I took off the brake rotor and housing containing that bearing. Worked fine.
