Where did you get that windshield? Purchased a sw ltx le and want a taller windshield, mid height from yamaha is ugly.
It's a viper shield. It protects pretty good but I'm getting old or soft. I like my mid hieght cat shield on my 2014. Warm anytime. Maybe sellling the viper one and buying a Dx shield.

Personally, I think the yamaha options suck and most is on back order anyway. I got a Cat mid on mine and really like it. Rode last weekend 2 days in single digit temps. Was pleasantly surprised.

I will sell my low/mid windshield for $50 if anyone is interested. I like being real warm on cold days so I went with the Dx shield. This shield is fairly good on protecting you but it's not as good as a tall one. Pm me if interested.

Can't speak for SJ, but I have a cat mid and fits great without any fabrication or trimming involved. Mine came straight off a Thundercat.sj.........is that windshield a direct bolt on with your LTX? I'm just wondering how the Cat windshields fit the SideWinders.

How much coverage? I am on the fence if I want to go your route and trim my Red and White version or just get the DX shield.. thoughts?

Same as the Viper got down to 12 degrees Saturday after dark. I didn't have my Zipper up all the way and I could feel the air around my neck getting cold. I also noticed there isn't as much heat coming out where your feet set as the Viper did.How much coverage? I am on the fence if I want to go your route and trim my Red and White version or just get the DX shield.. thoughts?
