I never ran the LE windshield but sitting on the machine....that le looks less protective...this is a happy medium (although they call it low) and not bad for not too tall of a guy..

I will sell my low/mid windshield for $50 if anyone is interested. I like being real warm on cold days so I went with the Dx shield. This shield is fairly good on protecting you but it's not as good as a tall one. Pm me if interested.

I took black trim from my original Viper windshield and put it on them tabs of the new Viper windshield. Had to heat it up some to make the sharp bends.Do you have to buy additional black trim ?
Thanks for the feedback .

I think it's only marginally better than the SE. I've ridden with both down to 0F and the problem for me are my hands, I'd rather not use hand guards since I use gauntlets when it gets really cold (my hands get cold REALLY easily). I also have the Tcat shield and it definitely has a little better chest coverage, though I only rode with that in the teens, I might try it again in colder temps and see how my hands do - if the hand coverage feels the same I may stick with the Tcat shield for the better chest coverage.Hows the wind deflection compared to like the SE shield?
I'm still considering getting the DX and trimming it down a little on the top but trying to leave as much hand coverage as I can.

I rode last weekend with the Dx shield and it's very nice. So comfortable. I'm getting old and like being warm! Try it you will like it.

Installed a Viper Sport windshield I got from ebay - SMA-8JR96-20-00

It actually doesn't look much like the photo in that listing. It does however fit. The Viper tabs actually are not touching anything and add a little window deflection. I am thinking of making a little tab secure the windshield tabs to the headlight/hood.
Im not sure how this compares in size to others but its not humongous. It measures 21" from point to top. I have the adjustable PowerMadd riser and my Sentinel hand guards do just barely clearly the windshield sides.
