Hey everyone,
So this is the second year I have had to replace the battery in my sled due to the gap flasher and it killing my battery. Last year the wife unplugged the tender and forgot to plug it back in. This year I made sure the tender was plugged in all summer but when I went to start the sled it would crank at 11.8 volts but quickly drop to 9.5V. The sled started at one point but ran rough for a couple seconds and died. I ended up getting a new battery and installed it, go to crank the sled and it just cranks and cranks but does not start. I hear the fuel pump when I turn on the ignition. I am thinking the plugs are probably fouled so I am going to try replacing them tomorrow.
last season I installed CR9EK plugs and only put 1200 miles on them. Over here in Ontario they are about $18 a plug. I am debating if I should throw CR9EK plugs in or just the stock ones as I ran the stock ones for 6000 miles with no issues.

Make sure you have enough gas in it. This happened to me last year and this year where my tank was really low, filled it to at least half full and starts right up. I think it may be my stand because sled tilts back a little on it and I think pickups in tank arent getting enough fuel to them when fuel is low. Sounds a little stupid, I know...lol

May want to run 8's in it 9's are colder plug and will foul easier on cold start, old gas,
Late last season I installed CR9EK plugs gapped at .020" in my Winder. The sled ran good as always for the rest of the season. This fall the sled started right up and ran good until this week when I did a -15c cold start and the sled fired up and only ran on two cylinders. I let the sled warm up for a bit , shut it down and when I fired it up again it reluctantly began running on all three again.
IMO
The CR9EKs are a little cold for normal use in the SW and are more prone to fouling. I will probably change the plugs in the near future to NGK CR8EIX with a normal gap.
