Crewchief, yes they do check spark arrestors and db levels. Not sure about Insurance on orv's. Sorry, I'll find out.
Also, all kinds of things for the wife and kids from Putt Putt, shopping, go-carts, shopping , hang out at the beach in the dunes, shopping, etc....

We need to get a head count.There are several houses/cabins on the lake and near by that are very reasonable.Plus we can put some campers on the lot to.We have a place on upper silver lake.Let me know a head count.I can do some checking.Also we should get together with a date

I have done some research on the SS Badger car ferry for anyone from Wi. wanting to come over. It could definitely save some driving time.
lets say a family of 4 from Wausau. Wi. with a auto/van or truck. price would be about $250. but it would save 340 miles of driving. the ferry ride is 4 hours and good time to get some rest or start drinking! lol.... They say no alcohol can be carried on but we have done it in the past.
Wausau to Manitowac is 136 miles and Ludington, Mi. to Silver Lake is 30 miles. Wausau to Silver lake via Chicago route is 503 miles 8 hours, via U.P. route is 589 miles 10 hours.

Either of those should work for us Mark!!! Nothing on my calender for July yet!!! I'm looking forward to meeting the 'PE crew'....can't go wrong there!!! I'm jealous, Mark!!! LOL...but then again I guess it goes along with your nickname!!!! ;-)

we used to stay at stoney lake campground, about 10 or 15 min. away.

Hey all! Scooter 1s secretary here. Silver Lake is 500 miles from our house (ugh!) It says an 8 1/2 hour trip. Just for information purposes...June will not work out for us. There is to much going on. July would work better. Just thought I better throw my two cents worth in while everyone else was throwing their change in

Sweet!!! I was wondering if you guys were gonna go!!! You know, you could always come up to my place and we can ride up together from there!!! I guess it depends if Woody or anyone else is coming as far as if one vehicle will be enough anyways....just a thought!!!!
