I have an 08 LTX and looking to modify with an undertunnel and a new seat set up. Has anyone used the skinz or wrp seat(not the 2" kit)? The wrp looks like it would be more comfortable but the skinz would probably give more tunnel room. Just looking for peoples thoughts.

Had a skinz seat on my nytro. I liked the seat nice and light weight and offers more storage room. But in my opinion its not meant to sit on. Its super hard. And second depending on your size I guess it may be to tall. I'm 5'11" and ride the mountains and it was just to tall it was actually effecting how I was able to ride. My grandpa is an upholster by trade and I had him make a new piece of foam that made it shorter and a lot softer so soft that if I sat down it would sink to nothing. Bit I rarely sit so it didn't matter. I just wanted it out of the way when I was hoping around the sled riding.

I LOVE the look of the skins seat especially with my tunnel plans I have, but I have only seen one person say its comfortable everyone else is a resounding NO for trail comfort. I think if i did the skinz I would tear it apart and replace the foam and redesign the pan a little bit for more comfort. So for $500 I may have to make my own. The polaris pro seats are very very light and could be a good place to start. Comfort is decent too although I haven't sat on it so its just hearsay.

I agree on the Polaris seats. I think I could make it fit fairly easily and probably look pretty good as well. I like the ones that are on the rush pro sleds. They are narrow up front but still have a nice flat top. not sure how soft they are though. I might have to run by the dealership and check it out for firmness. There are a couple on ebay for $250 so that isn't too bad if I can fit it on there with little effort.

I got a used mountain mod seat that was on a sled that came in the other week. Was not familiar with these seats until I got this one in. Very light weight seat with firmer taller foam similar to the wrp mod.

I have a WRP on my 09 Nytro XTX and my 2013 Apex.... for the money they are awesome...not sure what else to say.

Awesome at trailriding too? I'm 6'4" and a little tired of stock Apex seat position. Looking for something to get me higher, but still comfortable on long distance trips. Not sure the WRP 2" mod. is enough..

I am 6-2 and I think its more then enough... it really feels taller then 2".

I love the wrp seat I have in my apex. Also had one one my nytro. Great quality, and the extra height helps in two areas. One your legs aren't as bent during cruising, helping fatigue etc. on long rides. Second when in the bumps it helps to go from that sit stand position faster after a day of washed out trails. I like the foam better on my boss seat, but those are real hard to find. I got lucky and got one off a mountain guy in snowest years ago. Can't go wrong with the wrp seat though. Factory or better quality there

WRP seat is top qaulity. I have one on my nytro and are very comfortable. They are a bit hard at first but after a couple hundred km they are not near as hard just firm. These seats have alot of grip. I prefer a grippy seat but my buddy who has one on his apex doesnt like this part of it and has used armourall on it 3 times in the last couple months!

I would highly recommend WRP. Comfortable and excellent quality. Much more comfortable with your hips above your knees.

I think it's 3" over stock from Lake Effect.

I have the stock foam from my 2006 Apex GT as well as a (new - never used WRP all black) seat cover for sale if anyone is interested.
